Hello all,
I hope
everyone is well. Well done to those who are still actually swimming in
the sea. Summer seems like a long time ago now.
The
PeteWilbyTriathlOn sleepy winter timetable includes morning 121 swim sessions
at Plainmoor and Sunday run core sessions at Plainmoor. There is also
opportunity for additional bike training at the Velopark on request. Do
come along or drop me a line to book on.
After a
fantastic year so far, it wouldn't be right to not have a bit of a Christmas
Do. I realise that there are hundreds going on and time is
precious. To keep you on your toes I suggest a Christmas jog then coffee
and cake at Pavillions, Teignmouth. So here is the date and agenda:
Saturday 19th November at 11:00 meet in trainer-ed up outside Eastcliff Café (same as sea swimming
was). Jog down and around Spray Point. Back to The View (The
Pavillions) on the Sea Front for some coffee and cake. Obviously the
non-runners can meet us there at 11:30 – the run is about 2km.
RSVP - do let me know if you are
coming so I can give the Café heads up.
On to
winter training and next year’s challenges. There are some big plans for
2017 from various people. I have heard talk all kinds of distances and
disciplines. Ziggy has entered for the Windermere swim which is 10.5
miles one way. Windermere is in a beautiful part of the country. I
intend to go up and support her there (disclaimer:
Im not swimming it!). She is keen for some company. If you would like
to join her on the trip (swim or support), drop me an email and I will
forward you on to her.
I am
currently studying for my Level 3 triathlon coach and need some athletes to
train from scratch. As a training plan athlete, you will be able to train
in your own time following structured sessions that I set. I will manage
your training routine to fit your work and life and put you in contact with the
right people should you need additional help (such as a massage, physiotherapy
or a nutritionist). You get your plans through training peaks which you
can view through your phone or computer. If you would like to apply for
training plans drop me an email and we will have a chat to see if I am the
right coach for you.
I think
that is it.
Have a
wonderful rest of week and stay healthy.
Happy
Triathlon-ing,
Pete
