Hello All,
What a few months that just blew by.
Triathlon training is so much nicer in the daylight and
today – first day of spring - marks the day of things getting better for
everyone.
I have spent the past few months trying to rearrange the
WHATS ON page. Today, I dare
say, it is done! You can book online
easily through your phone or laptop for any service you require. I am developing the RESOURCES section of the
website too. The goal is an interactive
and engaging resource with training plans and instructional videos to help you
progress to the next level (what ever that may be to you). It is a work in progress.
Looking ahead we have
lots of exciting things going on:
·
Coming up we have 4 beginner bike sessions at
Plainmoor pool on Wednesday evenings in April, 6-7pm - £2.50
These sessions will
focus on basic handling skills and transition skills and are designed with Exe
Valley Triathlon in mind
·
Open Water Swimming, starting on Saturday 6th
May, 08:30 for experienced and 09:30 for beginners – running every week until
end of September - £8
These sessions are structured,
coached and lifeguarded. A 200m
course is set. A mixture of ability is welcome.
·
Private swimming lessons at Teignmouth Lido – we
have 12 blocks of 4 lessons in a private lane at Teignmouth Lido
The lessons are
designed to suit your needs and goals. A
block of 4 ½ hour lessons costs £72 working out at just £18 each for a private
lane away from the public.
·
Training weekends are running throughout the
summer
·
All normal sessions are ongoing and it is easy
to book online
·
CHECK OUT RUN CORE!
Run Core is a great
session incorporating drills and technical focus
·
Lastly, if you feel a structured training plan
would help your training I can provide you with these online through Training
Peaks. You can have online coaching with
plans or a structured one off plan. Check
out the website for more info or drop me an email.
As a triathlon coach my goal is to help people progress. One of my core values is to try and make professional triathlon and open water swim coaching available to everyone. My top tip this month is to work on being more streamline when you swim. A good drill to help nurture this element is STREAMLINE ROLLS. Check out my how to video below, taken from the (in development) RESOURCES section of my website.
Take care on the roads and keep an eye on the sea.
Train SMART,
Happy TriathlOn-ing,
