STRENGTH
Strength of body and mind is vital for life and longevity in all you do. Strength, through the PeteWilbyTriathlOn LENS, is seen as both physical and mental.
You must be mentally strong to train for triathlon and open water swimming. You have to be realistic when setting goals so you can achieve them. But the stronger minds will dream bigger and set higher goals that can be achieved, one day. You have to be mentally tough to adhere to the training plan and be able to cope when things don't go to plan.
Physical strength is crucial to meet the demands of the sport. Some fundamental skills considered in strength training should be:
A) agility
B) balance
C) coordination
's) speed
Strength will keep you physically able to pull harder, push harder and go faster. Strength will keep you robust and resilient. Proper strength training will support your life in general, allowing you to reach further, and apply your skills.
